This study investigates how different living conditions – such as neighbourhoods and migration policies – affect migrants’ health. Using “natural experiments”, the research shows that living in disadvantaged areas and facing restrictive policies negatively impacts health. In contrast, open migration policies and improved access to healthcare can lead to better health outcomes. The study highlights the need for targeted health and social policies to address health disparities among migrants.
