COVID-19 and migration: What research shows so far
How severely were migrants, refugees, and displaced persons affected by the COVID-19 pandemic – both in terms of health and social impact? A systematic review provides initial answers: While the risk of infection strongly depends on the specific environment, psychosocial burdens resulting from lockdowns are clearly evident. However, the data remains fragmented and inconsistent – there is an urgent need for more robust and comparable studies.
